Hi guys,
My name is Zee, the new owner of the yoursuperbody.com forums. Before i get into anything I just want to apologise for the downtime and the confusion in terms of what's happened over the past week or so. For those that are interested I'll do my best to explain the recent goings on below.
YourSuperBody.com Was Sold
I'm not sure whether everyone was aware of this but the yoursuperbody.com forums went up for sale earlier last week. Myself and Anthony (Big_Anf_Admin) concluded a sale just last week and officially the site was transferred to my name.
My plans for the site are to develop it further and much of that process has already begun. Inevitably I also understand that there will be those that will no longer want to be a part of this forum and others that will stick around to see it well into the future. Either way an explanation of recent events was due and I hope this has somewhat clarified certain things.
Who Am I
Well you already know my name but in simple terms I run the site creative9.com. I'm a strategic developer of web domains and sites. My company manages and runs a portfolio of sites, forums and online resources (now numbering at around 100+) in many niches ranging from video games right up to vegetable gardening. It's an interesting business and we publish a lot of articles through the sites in our portfolio.
I'm hoping that MuscleMb.com like many of the sites I've worked on will grow and develop into a friendly and useful resource for bodybuilders around the world :) Oh and for those that are wondering, No I'm not a bodybuilder as such but I am familiar with the whole bodybuilding/training scene. So although this is a business for me (I want to be clear on that from the start), I also only invest in sites that interest me.
So there you go! a quick and dirty introduction about who I am which I hope atleast gives you a little more substance on myself and my objectives for the site; oh and if you have any more questions or queries about me or the new site feel free to pm me directly.
The Forums & Name Have Changed
I'm sure that by now you're getting the general gist of things but to clarify; Yes MuscleMb.com is the new official home of the YourSuperBody.com forums and No Anthony will not be starting another bodybuilding forum at YSB.
The bulk of the changes required to give ourselves a new home have all been completed and the biggest of those was moving to a new server and of course changing the forum software.
We're no longer running the FREE PHPBB forum software and have now moved to the paid vbulletin script. Some of you may like this decisions others may not, but my personal experience and direction for the new site means that it had to happen. Those of you who use bodybuilding.com will notice it's the same software.
Bugs, Problems & Next Steps
With the site migrated inevitably there may be teething problems, buggy links and what not, but I'm hoping that together we can iron them all out. Some common problems are your login/password not working or you simply can't access certain features within your account. Migrations are always a tricky business but if you have any problems you can either contact me via the contact form on this site or simply leave a message at the bottom of this post.
Oh and those of you who want to take on a larger role on the site, you're welcome to submit an application for a staff position (basically means pm me with who you are and how you want to help :) ). Like most forum communities, it's the hard work of their staff and members that really makes a site successful so get in touch if you want to help out.
Well that wraps things up for my official explanation and hopefully if all goes well i'll get to know a handful of you guys and girls in the not so far future.
