View Full Version : Head Bursting with pain when I work out !

I have been working out , but recently when i workout i get a un bearable headache.

This headache seems to only come about when i am lifting heavy, if i lift light weights it s all fine .

The pain is unbearable, it feels like my head is going to to explode. I have no choice but to call it quits on the workout because of the pain.

It seems to be confined at the back of my head just above the ears.

I went to the doctor who recommended that i have some blood work done tomorrow as a precaution.

Has any one encountered any thing like this before ?

i have heard of it, but there have been factors that contribute to the headaches, some have been due to using workout supplements that contain stimulants which will raise your heart rate and the extra load you put on your heart while lifting heavier weights comes into play, also it could be some kind of strain in your neck area and also high blood pressure, get the blood work done and make sure to figure in any supplements your using while you speak with your doctor, since that may be part of the issue,, hope it all works out well for you, keep us posted

One of my friend had the same problem as you described. His doctor advised him to stop lifting heavy. I do not know much about the matter. Hope that helped.

i too had the same problem, when i lift over weight i tend to shake my head in order to balance
and so my trainer advised me not to lift too much weight and do not shake my head as it affects the nerves coming from brain.
