I am just looking for an opinion , are buying generic supplements a waste of money ??

I wouldn't compromise with my health in any ways. With the recent economic situation, I am wondering what results people have had using generics...

For example, I can get generic fish oil, vitamins and proteins etc.... and save quite a good fraction .

Should I go generic, or stick with the brands that I currently use. Due to the recession the budget is tight , I wouldn't mind going on generics if the results are going to be the same !

Please enlighten me !

well it all depends on the source of where the generics are being produced, if you happen to find any info on the label you may be able to do some research on the company, now many are also made by reputable company's and just use a generic label because it is cheaper then a bunch of advertising, some of the down sides is like protein powder, it usually has a pretty horrid taste in my opinion but if you happen to find one that taste`s good, well it should be just fine,, bottom line is do some research on the company's making your supplements, and go from there, cheaper is not always the best route but than again the highest price supplements are not either, your paying more for all the fancy look, also buying supplements on-line is way cheaper than at your local health store or where ever you happen to purchase your supplements,, sorry this got so long winded,, hope it touched on a bit of your questions..
