well i had a bow flex extreme years ago, it worked pretty well, however the cable become less resistant over time, i had the 305lbs of resisitance and i could use the entire amount ,, i ended up trading off the bow flex for a machine built by HOIST fitness, it has the steel weight stack , more like what would be in the gyms, but made for home use, has a crap load of exercises you can do on it and is way superior to the bow flex... attached is a pic of my workout machines, i also have a elliptical ,,

Haha I see the bo flex commercials all the time. I don't own one but whenver I go to the gym I don't check the brands of machines. It seems really great on the commercials as it tells you all about their product.
I'm reading some reviews online and it seems that some people say it's excellent but not durable.

You'd be better off buying a backwards bench and some dumbells as these can be stored in very little space. Then just add some cardio into your workout a few times a week and save money on the whole in home gym rubbish. You can do that many exercises on a standard bench I have no idea why anyone would ever want a device like this in their home.

well its not rubbish to have a home gym, second we all dont have the time in our lifes to make it to a gym, i also have a incline/decline/flat bench combo and more dumbbells up to 75lbs,, the reason to use a home gym like that is because you can do chest press/ tricep pushdowns, standing curls/ upright rows/ incline presses/flys/ i mean the exercises are endless and you can do way more with a multi-gym platform than you can do with a bench

actually the bowflex makes a very durable machine, it was one of my first home gyms when i quite the gym scene, and it lasted for 5 years until i upgraded to the HOIST i have now, only problem is the power rods loose their resistance over time, other wise very durable.
