if you want to lose weight FAST then try adding some cardio to your workouts... especially a type of cardio called HIIT
which is good for speeding up the metabolism (http://yoursuperbody.com/Cardio-workout ... uscle.html (http://yoursuperbody.com/Cardio-workout-fitness-muscle.html))

No offense admin, but you need simple sugars post-workout to spike your insulin, which in turn will raise blood glucose levels and push the carbs into your muscles to replenish your lost muscle glycogen from the what I suspect to be very strenuous workout you just had. Insulin is the most anabolic hormone in the body and will without a doubt need to be spiked right as you wake up and post-workout to replenish the glycogen stores (as you have been fasting as you slept). Once again, no offense at all, just letting ya know!

No food after 6:30 to lose weight... hm... sounds alot like BS if you ask me. Insulin IS a very anabolic hormone but not just for muscular anabolism. Consuming large amounts of simple carbohydrates can also cause insulin resistance and spiking insulin all the time should be avoided. Thats why its more important to control your levels of insulin rather then just constantly consuming mass amounts of carbs all the time. Spiking at targeted intervals like Little bear has allready said. These are times where glycogen levels are low and need replenished, and times when your body is inharently able to deal with excess glucose in the blood. In the morning you have been fasting all night so you have a natural increase in insulin sensitivity (not sure of exact mechanisms), and after your workout you will have an increased translocation of GLUT 4 transporters in muscle, which will help insulin work more effeciently.

Sure that would be fine, depending what your goals are. I prefer spinach to lettuce though, more rich in micronutrients.
